Gracing the twin cities with beautiful blooms for nearly two decades, Lisa Roy loves to create lush, vibrant floral and has a weakness for fragrant flowers and foliage.
Lisa studied fine art/design, printmaking and textiles at the U of M and MCAD. There, while producing art, she acquired valuable visual and technical skills along with a keen eye for color. She creates exquisite floral, inviting spaces and smart objects.
Inspired by the life cycle of flora from the first fern shoot of spring to the textural seedpods of autumn, Lisa admires the vast diversity found in nature. She has developed an intimate understanding of botanicals and they remain her favorite materials.
Other inspirations and obsessions include: herbalism, aromatherapy, botanical perfume and potion making and working with clay. Modern and vintage textiles, wool felt, sewing, fashion, architecture, science, finely crafted artifacts, natural history and vintage botanical prints. Walking in the woods, patterns found in nature, moss clad surfaces, yoga, biking around town and digging in the dirt.
Lisa has been featured on Style Me Pretty, Real Simple Weddings, Minnesota Bride Magazine, Mpls. St. Paul Weddings, Midwest Home Magazine, Lavender Magazine, The Knot, The Star Tribune, Twin Cities Live and many other national and local blogs and magazines.
